Some fan art of my favourite character from the fan favourite Nickelodeon show SpongeBob SquarePants, Sandy Cheeks.

One thing that always made me wonder was that while at first glance, while it would be understandable that she would need both a pressurized suit and an air helmet in order to breathe, while underwater, how come when the likes of SpongeBob and Patrick can get away with just having their heads covered by water helmets, but not the rest of their bodies?

Interestingly, there were a few occasions where Sandy also had just her air helmet and no suit, so I just figured, what's the point of the suit, if the air helmet alone seems to inexplicably provide her enough oxygen, anyway?
Don't you love it when cartoon logic defies science? (the latter ironically being something that squirrel is interested in...)
