I didn’t really intend to redraw an old piece of mine when I was drawing the latest portrait of Olian. It just happened to have a similar older portrait of him in my gallery, and as I was comparing the two pictures, I thought of that meme and I decided to make this for fun.

Wow, you really have improved substantially for such a small time frame! My favorite improvement is the design of his clothes. You used such lovely scribbles to leave the impression of embroidery. I must note though, despite all of the realism techniques you used, the facial proportions are still the same making it cartoonish.

That’s true. At first I used to think that tutorials aren’t necessary, that art is pure improvisation etc… but then I realized that it’s absolutely necessary to study at least the basic rules in order to improve myself.
