Description
Since the most detailed of the up-to-date Skyrim maps is in Russian, I obtained the map's scan (courtesy of Mehrunes Artem) from ElderScrolls.net and retouched it in Adobe Photoshop Elements, substituting the Russian toponyms for the English ones. I am absolutely sure in the accuracy of most of them, some have been retraced roughly, taking into account the differences between the Russian and the English languages.Skyrim belongs to Bethesda Softworks.

I was trying to make a rough translation of the map from Russian into English before Skyrim came out - that's why some place names are slightly misspelled; the picture of a map in Russian, the likes of which had been given out by Bethesda representatives during a pre-release presentation, was for some period of time available on a Russian TES-related website. At that point, the English map was not yet available, and I was asked to make an approximate translation.
Many, many thanks for the great number of favourites!

First place I'm going? The Sea of Ghosts, to see if there are really ghosts there.

Yes, it will be interesting to find out where it got its name from. Maybe a lot of ships sink there and this results in ghostly sailors floating around.

It could be anything -from ruins and mines to shrines. Probably they mark locations that have not yet been revealed, just for us to know they are there.

Maps like this were handed out by Bethesda and 1C SoftClub at the IgroMir-Expo international gaming convention which was held in Moscow. I merely translated the map, since it originally was in Russian. I know many names from the game lore, as for the others, I rendered them relying on the Russian map.
Bethesda sure knows how to get people psyched

I dunno why, it'd simply seem appropriate for the setting, y'know, dragons n' all.

I'd surely love to see more of the Akaviri culture. There have to be at least some remains of it.

An Akaviri quest would totally fit with the setting, dragons and all that. Sure, it's not 100% the same, but it'd be awesomely interested.

No problem, it was a piece of sheer luck that the map first came out in Russian, and I just happen to be fluent in it.
