Description Introducing the daughters of these two dorks,

and their favourite "Uncles": Warden Thom Rainier, Varric, and Dorian and Bull (who apparently have settled down somewhere together and are communicating with their best friend's kid through the Sending Crystal).

Because I love it when my characters have babies - I apologize in advance if you find this in any way unrealistic or offensive! I mean only to amuse and maybe incite a few dawwws.

Why triplets? Because in the subbed version of Dragon Age: Inquisition in my mothertongue, Cassandra's phrase about how, if she had not left Nevarra, she would by now be married to some fool, mother of three, was translated in a way that made it seem like she says 'mother of triplets'. While I was discussing the level of the notion's ridiculousness with a friend of mine, she mentioned that she has triplet cousins, two of whom are identical, while the third isn't. So I decide to roll with the idea.

The sisters are (going from top to bottom):

Antonia "Ton" - stubborn, headstrong, short-tempered, and fiercely protective of those she loves (including the good Warden, much as the two bicker... if the Hero of Ferelden does not find a cure for the Calling, the girl is going to be mighty peeved, refusing to let go of the man who made her toys, sparred with her when her mom was too busy doing her Lady Seeker thing, and taught her how to swear).

Dorothea "Dollie" - sweet, bookish child, who secretly has a bit of a dirty mind (what teenager doesn't?), and loves reading and writing cheesy fiction.

Deshanna "Shani" - laid-back, cheeky, and the most mischievous of the three (she tends to drag Dorothea along on her escapades, and if she ever goes too far, her sister is there to stop her from getting into too much trouble). She also has a bit of a crush on Varric "Happy Accident" Hawke, and want to join him some day as a deck hand on his mother's ship.

Awwwwww!!!! It's too cute!!!!! x333 Omg, Antonia is so cute I could scream. She looks just like mommy! (Except blonde. Heh.) Lol, better watch out Thommy...that girl's got a punch to be reckoned, if I know anything about her mother....;D

Awww Dollie is simply precious! Gosh darnit Varric! Don't tell her that! XD Starting early....*sigh*

And Shanni!! Someone is taking after daddy, methinks. She looks like a trouble-maker! So cute!! (I like the crystal-communication idea!) I love all the girls' outfits too! Quite fitting for their personalities.

I'm so happy I finally got to see these girls! (Well, finally in that I was super excited about it, not that you were slow. Lol.) Waaay too much adorableness. (Not to mention chibi Blackwall...)

Eeeee, thank you for appreciating them all!
Haha, Antonia does look like a mini-Cassandra, doesn't she? For irony's sake, I think she'll be the one who turns out to be a mage. Tiny Knight Enchanter, yeah!
Haha, too later for that, I am afraid. Uncle Varric's lesson shall be learned!
Oooh, the crystal is actually game canon. Dorian gives it to you in Trespasser if he has a high approval, in order to always stay in touch. ^^

Aaaah, now I am all hyped for making more arts with them!

I know a set of triplets like this as well; I think it's actually the most common form of triplets, to have one set of twins and one regular baby. So I don't think this is ridiculous at all.
I also think it's awesome. 'You've gotta get the reader to care about them first!' had me in stitches (because I've been guilty of doing that myself a few times...) I love the triplets' designs, too.

Well, ridiculous was more a reference to the idea of my characters always ending up having kids. I just can't help myself, and sometimes, especially in the Internet, with so many child-free-pride stamps and banners floating about, it makes me feel rather uncomfortable, like I am promoting old-fashioned patriarchal ideals or something. I do believe that not every woman is automatically programmed to become a mother and a wife and nothing else (it actually made me quite mad when one of my school teachers tried to lecture all us girls about how we all MUST get married), and I respect those people who make a mature and informed decision not to have children... But at the same time, I can't help loving babies (apparently, they love me back, because I have almost never seen a baby cry in my presence; on the contrary, they smile and try to communicate with me by poking me and making gurgling noises). And loveable babies tend to bring my already happy OTPs even closer together. ^^
I was also worried that this would be offensive for Dragon Age fans, because the triplets' mother, Cassandra, is a strong and single-minded warrior woman, and motherhood might seem like an out-of-character thing for her (even though I personally believe that she would make a great parent, since a sense of responsibility is one of her dominant traits). Plus, her appearance and the fact that she is so great in battle and rejects feminine notions like dresses seems to make some players headcanon her as a lesbian, or at least bisexual (much to their regret, the developers created her as a character that could be romanceable only by male protagonists, which they later apologized for). So such players will find it ridiculous or even insulting to see her have a family with a man.
Whoooops, this suddenly turned into a huge rant. Sorry for that! I am really happy you liked the comic, though! (Haha, that was one of my favourite lines to write!).

I wouldn't worry about that. Unless my personality takes a drastic turn at some point, I can't see myself having kids, and I'm pretty terrible with them actually. But I still like kids even if I don't want them, and I don't think it's at all patriarchal to create lots of kids for your characters - I give almost all of my OCs children! I love rewarding my long-suffering OCs with a happy ending, and, as you say, supplying them with a loving family can be a nice way of giving them that. I don't believe, of course, that one needs a family to be happy. But this is fiction, these are our characters, and I don't think anyone should protest at the stories you choose to make for them.
I can't really pass judgement on the other worry, since I've not played this game (yet) but again, you've got a right to ship your character with whoever you like and people who see it as insulting really need to be a bit more accommodating. I mean, we're living in a world that ships all sorts of far, far more ridiculous things at times. I do find it odd (and a bit amusing) just how divisive ships can be.
Not a problem, it was very thought-provoking, actually! And I like having my thoughts provoked - which is why I'm guilty of leaving lectures on your polls all the time.
