Ok this work is totally touched by god. I saw your diablos head workshop paintings and your painting style is awesome and totally my goal. Can we found more tutorial on your blog or here ? Or pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls pls (no this isnt copy paste i wrote all of em with sad face) can u do more tutorials I beging you for this.
And for this work whats the orjinal start resolutions, how many layers ? are u starting with grayscale and then to overlay colors? or did u do all of work with diablos head style on your gallery ?

I don't know how many more tutorials I plan on doing, but when/if we do Blizzcon again, I'll be probably be doing another live demo/Q&A along with many other awesome Blizzard artists.
I usually work huge, for obvious reasons. This painting is almost 5feet wide, or over 16000 pixels, just for example. The Diablo head demo is a lot smaller, because it's a demo, but I think it still rings in at 8000 pixels wide.
I don't really go further than a quick lighting pass in greyscale before I switch to color.
Layers, I try to keep to a minimum, for the sake of clarity.
As for process, I usually complete the thumbnail, then a rough value sketch, finalize the drawing, do a rough lighting pass, color rough and then paint. I try not to use layer effects like overlay if I can help it, though sometimes color correction requires it at the very end for print.

That's because it's Blizzard's property. They are the only ones that can give permission to print it or any other image I have painted for them.
