Description
20 minute sketch...One of the most awesome scenes I've experienced is when the Forward Unto Dawn swoops in for a landing in Halo 3. I kinda want to do that again somehow in fiction.
Here's a few Imperial Bracket cruisers making a drop on some planet someplace. That the Brackets can use their spaceships for atmospheric support operations is what makes them successful as an empire.

That had to be my favorite scene in the game. As the ship came touched down, tanks would go flying from the wind, awe-striking.

People-striking too, since it's possible for the Dawn to kill you if you're in front of a vehicle when it comes in for a landing.
I was kinda meh on spaceships making it into atmosphere, but that scene convinced me of how cool it could be when something THAT BIG is landing.
I just wish it could be possible to experience that in the real, being on the ship I mean.

I love the idea of spaceships in atmospheric ops. Theres something about taking a vehicle like that out of its common element that makes scenes like these so dramatic. Plus big things moving fast is always awesome.

Slice of submarines plus a slice of Legend of the Galactic Heroes equals... that.
