Description Waay back when in 2010 I ran into a group of students from Santa Cruz at the Game Developer's Conference, and got involved in one of the student projects there. After it was complete the director wanted to get me involved in another project.

Though I was really enthusiastic about the proposal at the time I was more concerned about finding a secure job with a steady income (still am :\ )

But I just dug this up again and figured it's probably the greatest testament to my UI design and game development skills.

As far as I know the director's team hasn't used these assets, and the final game is much different than this document describes. Still this shows when I want to, I can put in a ton of work on something without much effort. All of this was channeling the stream of consciousness I had on what I wanted to play.

I know you're trying to get a full-time gig at the moment, but remind me: what are your commission rates?

It's negotiable, depending on the size of the project and the scope of the work.

For something like an Axel drawing (One unit, one color scheme, shadows, no weapons sets) It's around $70. I did a vector-graphic map similar to the Homeworld map (About the same size) for about $120.

This concept not only looks really impressive but I can see how you want the basics of the game to work. Wish I had the software you have to make these impressive images.

Pretty amazing work if i may say, game design seems to be rather easy to come up with stuff but hard to get it to work together =o

In the realm of computers, yes. I don't have coding knowledge so I can't impliment these ideas myself. I could try to learn flash's action script to make a playable something in Flash, but the job hunt combined with Flash going extinct dissuades me from doing so. :\

You could try Game Maker 8.1. It's at yoyogames.com

Your work is well thought-out and visually distinct. Have you ever considered going into indie development? There are people who could not break into the gaming industry (board or video games) and decided to create their own companies. There are a lot of examples but two that come to mind are Alien Trap and Supergiant Games.

Right now I need money. If there was a team already in existance but needed an artist/designer (and were willing to pay for those services) I would be more than happy to join it.

My gap in programming knowledge prevents me from designing whole games on my own. And at the moment I think searching for work is more imperative than struggling to develop a new skill set.
