Description
Around five years ago I bought a little DS game called Unwound Future and fell in love with this amazing series. I had played Curious Village beforehand and enjoyed it, but it wasn't until UF that I really became invested in the series and the characters. I don't normally cry during emotional scenes in movies or the like, but yeah, I was weeping like a baby the entire ending of Unwound Future and no game or book or movie has hit me as hard emotionally since then. I guess part of the reason was because I wasn't expecting it, it kind of caught me completely off guard. Curious Village makes you feel a little warm and fuzzy inside when Flora leaves St. Mystere behind, but that's about it. I was not at all prepared for the emotional torment that this game gradually builds up and then releases full fury. And it's bittersweet too, so bittersweet and open-ended while neatly avoiding anything cloying or saccharine. Eeeeehgg, I still can't listen to "Time Travel" without feeling crushed inside. Anyways, the PL series has inspired me to write more and draw more too, so I'm thankful for that. Looking forward to whatever's next for the Prof.
