a 9x12 in card. I did an all white version based on the Star Wars Infinities comic series, and used this very pose for it.
Thanks

Amazing only by today's digitally-reliant standards. Too many kids can't create without being plugged in. A shame. Fundamentals go in the toilet, to be replaced by "clickety-click."
* heavy sigh *
You're welcome, Tod!

Thanks
I dug doing it, and gave it a bit something extra since it was a co-workers commission. Treat it as if you were doing it for yourself.

Nothing that I could show you, but a few tips.
Find artists you like, and study what they do. See how they grow and grow with them. Take from them what you like most. You may like the way one artist paints flesh, while another does hair.
Take those things, practice, and incorporate that into what will one day become your style.
I like Drew Struzan. I constantly look at his posters for movies and try to see how he did something, and then try that myself. It may not work out the first time, but with practice, I get there eventually.
Matt Busch has some things on [link] and there are magazines like Imagine FX. While its mostly digital art, there are things that you can take from it. [link]
Just keep practicing. Its better to do several thin layers to build up your values, than to plop down one heavy layer which makes it harder to render.
Lastly, if you ever have a specific question about a project your working on and need help, just ask. I also teach privately and at Penn State University, so no problems if you ever need help.
Take your time and DON"T rush. Find the simplest way to accomplish what you're doing for the most maximum effect. The most expencive products aren't always the best. And don't be affraid to try new materials and mediums. Mix them up if it gets you the look you need.
