Just a little something to practice my lighting techniques. I really like how this turned out! And I love using Tod & Copper as practice. That grass was a pain though!Don't worry, the 'Bleh' comic is still going (I haven't abandoned it) and I'm currently sketching up the new page. I just wanted something else to do for a quick change of pace, something more visually appealing!

Gosh, this is just plain adorable. Where else do I start...?
Vision: The vision is instantly eye-grabbing, especially in the lighting, which I think looks near perfect. It helps that the amount of brown and gold colors in this picture gives it a nice and peaceful atmosphere. All the light and dark spots look like they belong where they should be, even on the shading on the characters and the grass. Plus Todd and Copper's facial expressions simply look just so cute here. However, I also noticed a few flaws here and there. That bright yellow spot right behind Copper's ear looks a little distracting. It somehow clashes a bit with the darker shading in the background, though I guess it could just be that Copper's ear is covering up where the dark and the light area blends, but it still looks a tad bit out of focus. Also something about the shading on that tree doesn't look quite right, probably because of how flat the lines are. Also Todd just looks a tad bit too plump.
Originality: I've already seen more than enough fanart of Todd and Copper, but this is a scenario that I haven't seen in any other Fox And The Hound fanart, so more stars to a more original idea here. At least you illustrated the idea very well.
Technique: I see a good amount of time and effort being put into this drawing, which is why it turned out so good. I already talked about the lighting and the shading. I also love the amount of detail put into this piece. The grass, the glowing of the fireflies, the fur patterns on Todd, and even the wrinkles on Copper's forehead. Nothing about this piece looks rushed or lazy in the slightest.
Impact: Again, it's a really cute picture. Everything here looks appealing, the lighting, the ambiance, the use of colors, and the style on Todd and Copper, even despite the few flaws it has.

The lighting works very well here. It really looks and feels like a warm summer night, and the fireflies (I'm assuming it's those little lights) really help to add to the atmosphere.
The characters' expressions and poses are very well done, too. I absolutely adore Todd's sleepy face . It's too cute! And how Copper's keeping a watchful eye on his best friend just adds to the "D'awwwww!" factor.
All in all, this is a fantastic piece! Keep up the amazing work!

This is fantastic! You did a spectacular job with the lighting. I've always loved The Fox and The Hound, even to this day. Although not my all time favorite Disney movie (that honor goes to The Lion King), The Fox and The Hound lives up to its potential of being in my top ten favorite Disney movies. The midquel on the other hand was terrible.
