I downloaded patch 1.8, made a new world, and immediately killed a chicken and then chased another chicken and beat it with the raw chicken I got from the first chicken.Because it's Minecraft.
(Drawn in MS Paint because my computer died recently and I had to reinstall everything. Can't find my Photoshop disk)

My favorite part about this update is the canyons I fall into.

I keep spawning in swamps, when I want to spawn near a town or Ravine.
The first one I found I ended up falling into, because I was being chased by an Enderman D:

I found a small village...but all the doors were covered in gravel.
I have yet to find a Stronghold.

You don't have to justify killing MC chickens - I can't count the number of times they have either tried or tried and succeeded in shoving me off of cliffs. They are evil. Kill them all!

I slaughter pigs just for that reason. Every time I try to peek over the side of a cliff, BAM there's a pig.

Ffff... I wanna play Minecraft.... but I know I will become dangerously addicted to it. Simulation games like that... you could play forever. O.o And ever and ever and ever and not get bored.

On the right side, under the pig, guy, and sheep, you can play Minecraft Classic for free. It doesn't have all the new awesome stuff, but you can still build things!
You can buy it and get all the updates and such for 20 dollars. It was way cheaper when I got it, like...only 9 dollars. It's still in beta.
If you want to buy it, there'll probably be another supersale sometime soon. But the classic mode isn't bad.
