A work from the "Pavement and Patience" series;
One of my worst fears is that of being involved in a deadly car accident. They say that anything over 45 mph is out of your hands. I believe that impatience, in some form or fashion is the primary culprit of vehicular accidents in this day and age. We must ask ourselves, "What is a vehicle on the road other than the sum of it's parts, and the person driving it?" I aim to illustrate the merciless forces involved in car accidents, through the anthropomorphic fusion of vehicle and man. Through this imagery unfolds the visual depiction of our own mortality, irresponsibility, and the fallibility of the machines we take for granted.

Mmmm, 45 mph huh?? Hhhmmm Ok my first was we were doing 25 the truck that hit us more. The car rolled. At 7 years old, out the door I went. The next few @ 25 in snow and ice, Then my first as the driver well over 50 I rolled the truck onto its side. As a passenger we were doing 60+ on an icey road. The car flipped. Where I was sitting completely crushed. No seat belt. Completely fine. My son then rolled my 300 zx at about 70. I was not wearing a seat belt so yea that one hurt. There were a few more I am sure, but hey, I rarely got hurt and I am still alive. This doesn't mention all the motorcycle accidents those broke a lot of bones, last one my skull. That one was bad, real bad. I no longer ride motorcycles.
Dude when its your time, you go. When its not, you survive. Stop worrying and making everyones life a pain to drive with you. Enjoy your life now, it is a gift. Life is really a gift waisting it worrying makes no sense.

If there were another word for "lucky," I'd use it. Ah, you were fortunate. Really fortunate. This series isn't trying to say "you're gonna die if you get in a car accident." It's more saying "A person's impatience can get one killed, and a car can make that happen tremendously faster." Thanks for all the comments, much appreciated

Actually lucky is the word I use. Even the last cycle one has actually made my life better. Better in the long term short term it was real bad.
Cars and humans are a weird deal. They are a gift, that we totally abuse. Speed yes, cell phones not really smart and now text messages Any how its nice work man
