We all have our number of years written out when we are born... Monty's appeared to have been from '81, To now, We must all prepare to die eventually, But if it were that easy to cheat death, I wonder how it managed to take Monty so easily.

You know what I find amazing? I've seen two different artworks, this one included, where, even with tears streaming down her face, Ruby manages to keep a smile on her face. You would think she'd be the one breaking down, being the youngest and least experienced and everything. Her ability to keep smiling in the face of this overwhelming tragedy really says something about her character, wouldn't you agree?

I would believe Nora would be the one. And Ruby probaly did experince her mother passed away. I don't know how the writers would do with Ren, sine Monty is gone

My best guess is that they're going to kill Ren.

No way in hell. They won't. Or if they do, it will be an offscreen death. Β But that would just be too much for the fans I think. Besides, he was already finished planing Vols 1-4. If you knew his work ethic like I did, then he was done with the rough drafting and framework, and was just working on refining the "Monty" moments of those volumes.
Anything after that, I don't know.

I don't believe they'll go that far. Team JNPR wouldn't be Team JNPR without him. They'll either cut down on Ren's presence and make him go unvoiced or they'll find a new VA who can emulate Monty's voice. It happens a lot in other games and anime where the original VA dies and is replaced by a soundalike. Look at Iroh from Avatar The Last Airbender. After Mako died, his role was taken over by his understudy who managed to nail Iroh's voice almost perfectly.Β
Right now, we should hope that Rooster Teeth decides to continue RWBY and worry about Ren later.
