PROMPT 3: Elsker has healed completely today! So, Rylie decided to start his basic training. First was the halter. Rylie came near him, and he froze, so getting the halte on was no problem. Then, she attached a lead and attempted to lunge him, except he barely wanted to go. When Elsker was finally cantering about, he was ready to join up, so he slowed to a walk and plodded warily towards Rylie. This was the first time he had voluntarily come to her, and it only lasted for a few seconds. Her hand touched his muzzle and then he backed up until ther was no more lead and stood there, frozen with fear. She lunged him again with the same result. So, Rylie tried once more, but with a variety of horse treats including a bag of Precious Ponies, carrots, peppermint, a banana, Gatorade, and penut butter. When Elsker joined up, he reached his muzzle for the peanut butter, getting it stick all over his nose as he ate. Rylie filled a supplement bucket with peanut butter and tried a few ground exercises. She walked him over ground poles, made him follow her, stretched his muscles, and taught him a few tricks, including "smile" "come" "say yes" and "bow". An overal successful day, I'd say!
