this is a project i've been working on for several months for The Speedgamers .The Speedgamers are a group of gamers who (as the name implies) play through games really fast. While they do this, they raise money for charities. It's like a Walk For the Cure except it's a Game For The Cure.
they do several marathons per year, and this year in the summer they'll be doing a pokemon themed one. this painting (along with many other awesome, awesome prizes) will be raffled off to people who help out and donate.
The charity the pokemon marathon is raising money for is an ACT Today, which is a charity that helps kids and familys living with autism! it's a pretty swank charity. i can think of few better.

just an fyi, i generally charge about 10$ per hour of work i put into something. and this took me many, many, many, many, many hours. so if you want something like this, just...be aware

LOVE this. Even though there were a lot of poison types back in the days of RBY, they were really kind of underused and underappreciated by most people. I've always found something attractive about poisonous pokemon, though. They're just so inTOXICating, hehe.

Exactly. Animated piles of toxic sludge, gigantic venomous insects, treacherous, acid-spewing plants... what's not to love? By the way, I just noticed your Oddish's cool shades. Just one of many nice touches here.

I saw the sketch! Poison has become a rare type ever since the first generation...third gen has about as many as the second I believe. Fourth has a few more and fifth goes back to having just a couple, but I was very happy with them all regardless.

yeah, they've improved vastly too in terms of movesets. back in gen1 and 2 you really didn't have much in the way of straight poison moves that were solid - aside from toxic, really. now there's a whole assortment of boss poison attacks

Just curious, but what made you decide to include a shiny tentacool? I kinda have a soft spot for them, as one was my VERY FIRST SHINY EVAR back in Silver.

honestly? the fact i accidentally drew too many tentacles and realized i'd need more tentacools to make it work. and i decided shit, if i'm drawing three of them, i may as well slip a shiny in there.
