Vayea often dreamed about flying. She envied the birds that flew over her head, able to defy gravity and escape the ground below. She never liked heights, in fact she hated climbing trees. But the sky was different, there was so much...space. The atmosphere looked welcoming, the clouds tended to call her name in her dreams.
"But what if I fall?" a small voice whispered. No matter how much the caracal fought it, the voice grew louder and louder. "You're going to fall. You cannot see with those eyes, you will plummet. You will perish. You will fall." Before she knew it, Vayea felt herself drop from the sky, helpless. She did not scream, she did not struggle. She knew the voice was right. Vayea began to close her pale eyes, waiting for her body to meet the ground below.
"Sometimes...in order to fly, you must learn to fall." A different, much deeper voice murmured. "But if you doubt yourself, you will never have the courage to soar."
A flash of light brown fur and startlingly blue eyes woke Vayea from her deep slumber.

Edit: Wow I finished this picture right when the AC journal was updated. Ah, guess more EP for Vay though its cool LOL

Meh, I have no idea what I just wrote but its 2:30am and I'm pretty out of it HAHA.
Anyway! Vayea's AC for I tried a bunch of different stuff in this picture, but I think I like the outcome.
I'm a bit disappointed because I really wanted to draw Aether in more detail since his design is just straight up gorgeous, but alas. Maybe someday though c:

Probably my last picture of this year, so I'll see you guys in 2014!
