Description I'll be paying student loans until I'm 50 unless I get my act together. I wish I could just spam Pay Day. That loose change would certainly add up.

I saved for twenty years and with the help of my parent have attended two years with out a single loan. And it didn't do a lick of good.

I'm sorry to hear that it didn't help, though you are fortunate not to be burdened with debt!

I have 30000 dollars in loans and a useless degree.

Two of my closest friends have English degrees and are struggling day to day. It hurts me so much to see it, especially since I'm technically wasting mine. I could be making big money at a huge company doing programming, but that wouldn't make me happy.

It's rough, is what I'm saying.

That just sucks so much that people who worked so hard and pay so much have to struggle. My brother only has a part-time job in his major because our older brother was hiring for his non-profit company. What's the point of paying 5 figures when like 70% end up working outside their major anyway. You should do what makes you happy but students kinda assume that their investing in a job that exists. I'm studying the GRE but unless I get a scholarship it's hopeless.

Good luck to you and your friends. I'm going to gradschool or bust.

I've learned now that the choices I made (going to college, moving across the country, etc.) have forced me to postpone certain things that I'd like to do.

I want to go to grad school and become a Professor. I want to pursue a personal relationship. I want to skydive during the summer.

But I think I've come to terms with having to wait. It's tough, and I'm sure I'll get depressed about it every now and again, but I'll survive. For my dreams, and for my friends, if nothing else.

I wish you the best in your grad school endeavors! I heard the GRE is just like the SAT, except... harder, I guess? I'm sure you'll do great!

Yeah, the GRE is like that. I think I would have done better taking it out of high-school then after college because I haven't had a real math class in like three years. Skydiving sounds dangerous, I've always been afraid of doing it. But good luck with all your goals no matter how life threatening(ly awesome)they might be. I'm waiting too. I have a five year planish thing to make sure I get some of the stuff I'm waiting on done.

Good
luck and keep up the good work .
