well this will be my first pony artwork critique, I don't exactly have much knowledge of the show I should add, but none the less I will give this a good go! ^^

Good Points of Dancing In Cinders

e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="10" height="10" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="210" title="Bullet; Red"/> Well I can first say straight off the bat the title of this artwork is one which suits and fit very well and actually one that I think cannot be topped to give a simple and sweet introduction into this artwork. Now some can argue that titles like 'Let These Embers Burn' or 'Hotter Then You' could have worked better, but I think the use of the word Cinders, a word you don't commonly hear (unless your a fireman or in the railway side like I am), that is one of the aces up this artworks sleeves and makes you want to come have a look.

I did some research to find the creator of the pony OC and comparing the character in this artwork with the characters owner artwork we do see that everything is near enough spot on in EchoRelecs pony stlye of drawing.

I absolutely love the orangey-red haze amongst the branches and trees of the background, it does give us the sense and look of smoke without actually drawing it, and as the old phrase goes, where there's fire there's smoke. And of coerce, the added fire both behind and in front of the character in my opinion has just about been added in perfectly, though I think the flame thrower horn is the cherry on top of all this pyromaniac flame land! especially with that big sly grin he has on his face! x3

I see some thought went into detail when doing this part with the stronger blurred shading around the neck to show the a very smooth and curved round neck, then the unblurred and sharp shading to show a very sharp or small curvature on the character. all these do help us get a feel and look for the depth of the whole character and how he is built by showing and not telling us.

Bad Points of Dancing In Cinders

e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="10" height="10" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="564" title="Bullet; Black"/> I couldn't really find much to complain and say wrong about this artwork really, the character is pretty much perfectly drawn and represents the user this is gifted to very well, my only nag would be the lack of fire light on the character, as in there doesn't seem to be any red light on him at all when there are a ton of lights that would give that light off all around him.

Final thoughts of Dancing In Cinder

Well i've been watching this user for quite sometime, and with each new artwork he does I can see impoundments and faults all the time and this one is no exception. this artist has a very good talent at giving us a background with a lot of flare (no pun intended) and spice at how unique and different they can be, and this one shows that too regardless of how much it is on fire or if its ponies or lucarios.

if I had to score this artwork out of 10 I would give it a fiery and respectable 8.5, its a brilliant artwork, even to me who isn't a brony and combined with that title and background you've got something that comes out golden, but with room for improvements here and there.

I really like the fire, and somewhat hellish background, it fits the theme, and Cy's colors!
