Labyrinth was one of those movies that I just didn't know what to think of when I first watched it. Yeah, i've told my dad many a time that it's 'so old' and that i've made fun of it on occasion, but to tell you guys the truth, I frickin' love this movie! I mean, c'mon, how can you not appreciate the love and creativity that went into making this flick? And how can you not love seeing David Bowie in tight pants dancing and singing with a bunch of goblins? (lol THE BOWIE BULGE) It's just a movie that grows on you, y'know?
Anyways, I have always wanted to do fanart for the film but I just never got around to it. That is, until David Bowie passed a few weeks ago and I just couldn't help but feel a certain sadness for his loss. So, consider this a little tribute to such an amazing icon in the music industry, as well as the immortal Goblin King.

I think that the image of him in this film left a long trail on the collective, so nowadays he's remembered so well in this part... a fascinating man and fascinating character! R.I.P. ^^

The design and detail,the color scheme, the fact that it's David Freaking Bowie!
When I learned of his passing I was quite distraught, I mean this was the man whose music helped me when I felt blue, who showed me at a young age that oddity is cool, and of course who could forget his memorable performance in Jim Henson's The Labyrinth, it was "such a pity" 
But I digress I absolutely love this piece, you even added the famous dilated eye, along with the cold blue one! 
It has always been one of my favorite films, yeah it's cheesy to some people but to me it was the beginning of my music obsession. 
So once again thank you very much for posting this absolutely stunning gem!

The same could be said for me as well. Although I didn't know much about him as a person until a few years back, I always heard his songs - whether it be in film or tv. There was just this uniqueness to them that was so different compared to the music that I listened to beforehand, and it just hooks you right in with its soulfulness and how some of them can just be so darned relatable. The man was, and still is, a straight up legend, even after his passing.
A very talented man indeed!

Absolutely! And I think that is another reason I admire him so much, even people who didn't really know who he was as an artist always had some vague recollection due to his name or music! A majority of his music, if not all, is filled with such passion and emotion that when I was first introduced to his single Space Oddity I was hooked in all the right ways! An eternal legend that has left his mark in history and will hopefully be forever remembered.
