Remember how I wanted to color Firiel? Well...I'm experimenting with painting and figured that mermaids were an okay place to start (mermaids and Sylar...)
Eventually I will learn to pick better colors that work well together, not leave little dots of white, and paint straight lines so that my people aren't all bumpy and deformed. Hopefully.

The actual painting has much more green in the background, so the green on her fins & the sea-flowers doesn't stick out so much. -- On that note, idk why her ear/fin turned out such a strong green. It decided to rebel.
My favourite parts are her tail and the hair. It's hard to see, but there are *a lot* of different shades of purple squiggles.

Oh, and that weird lump on her back is actually her other arm =/
