Description
EDIT: I had to remake this stamp because it got confused for girls being more physically matured than boys. So the people who corrected me on that were right. But I was referring to mentally maturing not physically. Because again, even puberty doesn't make a teenager fully matured that quick at the age of 14 or 15. This also refers to how many girls call themselves more mature and act like adults, when in reality, they are just as shallow as most boys. A boy shouldn't automatically be stereotyped as stupid and a girl shouldn't automatically be stereotyped as intelligent. There are boys who are intelligent and girls who are stupid. Like I said a million times, DEPENDS ON THE GODDAMN PERSON!This is a response to all those "boys take so long to grow up!" or "girls mature alot quicker than boys!" messages that are getting really stupid. So this is pretty much directed to teenage boys and girls.
Once again, accepting constructive criticism but not flame wars.

The women in my family always say that girls are more mature than boys. And they say it RIGHT in front of my nephews and brother. I have no idea what gender has to do with maturity, that claims that they're being immature just for saying that.Β

In some cases it's true. But there are some guys who are more mature (I know a lot of guys who are just as mature as I am)

Agreed. I've dealt with tons of immature girls and mature boys. In my teens, I was pretty childish (not in a dumb way, I just liked more traditionally childish things and looked really young) and not very socially aware, but the mature kids (the wannabe grownup tough guys and girls) who laughed at me were the ones who laughed at every fucking thing the teachers had to say or show them, and most of them were girls. Funny how the same girls who thought watching cartoons and not being interested in boys were the same ones who walked to everyone's desks and harassed them during breaktime and laughed about the stuff being taught in Sex-Ed and Science class.Β

I don't act like an adult, but I act like myself. And I prefer to be just as mature as boys instead of trying to look like an adult. I want to be intelligent, yet silly at the same time.

Stupid logic is stupid.

My shop teacher said some SOME boys didn't mature as quickly as the girls. Trying to act all cool and such. But failed.
I know lots of immature girls and very mature boys.

Even though I'm a guy, I will say that girls hit puberty before boys, well, at least for me when I was younger. I mean, where I live, you got 5th grade girls having breasts and I can barely have a boner.

axtually... for a matter of fact, even little boys get erections...
it's just not that noticeable until the penis starts developing and getting bigger...
(was about to say "nigger" there... XD no offense... the b and the N are right next to each other... )

As far as I know, I've had a boner since 8. lol But yeah, I will admit girls do start puberty earlier than guys. I kinda wished I had worded this stamp better.

I agree with this stamp, however I don't agree that with the sentiment thatΒ either sex is more mentallyΒ mature than the other. Genitialia, or quite simply parts of the bodyΒ should not directly reflect mental and emotional capabilities and reasoning. That's the realm of the brain. Gender is a dress or suit that we put in on our mind, reinforced by mental conditioning in young childhood and or the media/companies and industriesΒ which make money off of the idea of gender, ie for women, the beauty and make up industry, for men, expensive gadgets/power tools. Don't believe me? Look up Gender DissociativeΒ Disorder, or f to m/m to f transgenders.
If you are learning/have learnt psychology one of the key things we're taught is that the brain does not mature completely until the age of 25, unlike what had been previously thought in the time where thirteen year olds were either preparing to get married or pursue a career they'd have for the rest of their lives. Also, I don't get why kids these days are in such a great rush to be teenagers. I've been a teenager and it wasn't really different than any other stage in life.Β Take your time.Β People say it's 'the best years of your life' but I believe the day I am largely responsible for myself will be the happiest time of my life. Gotta find a house and stable job first though.
