I hope you all enjoyed my silly little April Fools joke! Actual new comic pages soon, but in the meantime, getting on this project again. In part because I'm trying to beat off my art block, in part because I wanted some more amphibian representation in my gallery: Starry night toad (Atelopus arsyecue), endemic to only one mountain in Colombia and thought extict for decades -and critivally endangered-; Indian purple frog (Nasikabatrachus sahyadrensis), which lives underground and only comes to the surface with heavy rain, Argentine horned toad (Ceratophrys ornata), which were super common even in the city during my childhood (and terrifying to suddenly find in a flowerbed!) and Desert Rain Frog (Breviceps macrops) from South Africa, which are super round.

All of this frog drawing reminded me of how common it was, back in my childhood during the 90s, to find not only myriads of frogs and toads during hot humid nights, but the sheer variety of them; from tiny 2-3 centimetres ones, to ridiculously huge toads. Me and my brothers would give them nicknames like "turtle toad", "mountain toad", cake toad" to the biggest of them. Sadly I'm willing to bet the sheer amount of individuals is much shorter nowadays, and IDK if you'd be able to see the same amount of different species in a single night, that one was able to observe back then. What I wouldn't give to go back to the 90's, amphibians guide in hand!

This series is back, albeit I plan on taking no pressures with it. Enjoy!
