Turtles (like water turtles) are a little bit easier to distinguish then tortoises are but they can still be difficult if you're not used to having and studying them. It took me a while to really see some of the differences b/c some can be so subtle. It's not like other herp species, like frogs, that are so obvious. If you need help check out the groups resent blog. There are a few sites you can check out that can help you with identifying different species.
