WARNING :DO NOT IMITATE WHAT'S POTRAYED IN THIS PICTURE ! WEAR PROPER SAFETY EQUIPMENT WHEN RIDING A BIKE !
Oh yeah... I think it's necessary to put up a warning first before explanation so people won't get the wrong idea once they see this artwork.
I've been wanting to see Natsuki riding a YZF-R1 since long ago. It's mainly because I think her bike (in Mai-HiME) looks so outdated and somehow fits better in a museum than on streets. It's true that there's a pic of her next to a Ducati 999 in Mai-HiME manga, but I think YZF-R1 fits her the best. No offense, but The Doctor himself has proven it with better performance when riding a Yamaha compared to his current Ducati.
The bike was drawn by *anomonny while the pic of Natsuki was drawn by me. He drawn it as a part of my request. Both of them are colored by me. So I think it counts as collab, then, eh?
Oh well... seems like Natsuki just forget to wear her helmet because she has to go in a hurry...

Well... I gotta admit there's nothing wrong with that assumption, but to be more exact, isn't 'cute' is more like something that makes you want to hug it, like cute kid, cute cat and such while 'cool' is more like something that makes you admire it like cool bikes, cool man or such...?

Ah... you mean when Stoner became the world champion in 2007? I see what you mean, but you see... he couldn't become the world champion for the second time with Ducati because his Desmosedici tired him up. You must have known that the advantage of Ducati bikes is in their power while they're pretty hard to handle (notice that Stoner used to slide his rear wheel when entering corners on his Ducati).
Well... It's not like I despise Ducatis. I just don't get their styling, that's why I prefer Yamaha.

yeah that's when i mean. ah i see though. i don't know too much about road bikes unfortunately, but even so, Stoner definitely pushed that bike to it's absolute limit to win, and he deserved it and the bike stood up to his punishment. that at least deserves some credit
that's fair enough. i am a long time fan of Yamaha's. i've liked them for years, and every time i play a game with bikes i always use a Yamaha, whether it's a dirt bike or road bike xD

Me, too... Do you really think that I know much about road and track bikes? All that excite me are cars, not bikes.
Indeed, Stoner pushed that Ducati of his to the very limit that it took up most of his energy. I still can't get their logic by not improving their bikes' handling drastically. It's true that they finally used two gyroscopic sensors like Yamaha use but that's not much of a help.
Hm... hm... I think this will be my first and last artwork featuring a bike. I can't draw bikes that well and I really don't find my passion in bike-related stuffs.

oh really? well if you don't much enjoy drawing bikes, then keep drawing what you love! ^_^ but if you do enjoy drawing them, then by all means draw some more!

It's not that... From what I heard, European bike manufaturers tend to concentrate more on speed and not handling. They leave the handling matter to the riders because they think it's none of their concern.
Yep, I'll keep doing what I think is fun, and drawing cars is the way for that. Expect more of my car artworks, Nate...

Ah I see. That makes sense. That's why Ducati's are so fast, yet all the Japanese bikes can out turn them. It's always good having a diverse field though, it makes it easier for people to pick the right bike for them, and it also makes for more interesting racing.

Wow... wow... Hold it, mate... You're being hyperbolic here. It's not really hard to draw. It's true that I spent 2 whole weeks and 100+ layers on this artwork but overall it's pretty easy to draw, especially since I didn't draw the bike.
