Description
I felt lonely. So I opened the locked door of my bedroom
in hopes of letting the voices of the real world trickle in, if unrealistically:
Television blaring, the rest of my family watching a movie
without me,
a movie most likely about sex, money,
and death.
Inhuman instruments yawn across the expanse
of the street below my window, lights flashing like a warning
or maybe,
a pathetic attempt at sympathy.
Then comes my phone ringing.
One new message fromβ¦
The content sends tears skiing off my nose
magnifying the blemishes on my face.
To think I have so few issues and others on this planet are
inexperienced in the means of the word happy.
To think that even then I am just a hopeless human being standing in solitary
unable to help or to hold or to reassure or to rectify anyone else
because we all stand effectively isolated from the one
closest to us. Perhaps you could say that
we are all helpless scraps of life thriving to be happy and striving to live.

Thanks, I suppose. Ha
Just kidding. Thanks a lot! I love hearing people tell me I seem older than I am. Yet, who wants to grow up? It just gets harder with each year...ANYway, I guess what I'm trying to say is thanks.

lol, no problem.
But yea, growing up SUCKS. I wish I didn't have to... I mean, I love the privileges you get as you get older, but still.... you get more responsibility as well. Which can be ok, but, I don't know. I think I'd like to hit 18 and just stop there.

Yeah, I soo agree with you.

Yeah, getting your license is probably one of the best things that comes with getting older. It gives you so much freedom. You're gonna love it.
