Description
I know most people, when they’re mad, they punch a wall, or scream into a pillow, or write an extremely rude letter to the said person who made their day a bad one. I punched a wall once. It hurt so I don’t do that anymore.
My version of stress-relief is to run as swiftly as I can nurture from my knees all the way around my block.
The song my old ripped smelly sneakers sing is wonderful. I think maybe one day someone will think to record that song and sell it and make money from inventing a new genre of music. Or perhaps somebody already has? I don’t know. But if they said they invented this they’d be lying because it has been here; I hear it every day. Well, on days I’m mad, anyway.
Sometimes, when I run, people look at me funny, and mosttimes I wonder why they stare. My mother has always told me it’s not polite to stare. Or point. Or laugh.
I don‘t care. I think I probably would have cared when I was twelve, but I’m thirteen now and adults say teenagers aren’t supposed to care about anything; so I act like I don’t but I do.
