Description
A weird creature concept that first started out as a random doodle on some piece of paper.Made it for a friend so that she can practice some character modeling.
I had a lot of fun painting this one!
Painted in Photoshop and Painter with both a wacom Intous2 and a wacom cintiq12wx. Didn't use any photo references for this painting.

i have some questions. is it a plant eater or meat eater? dose it have a sents od smell? r the things on its back part of its body or parasites? sorry i cant help but make up a biological brake down of cool animles like this

I made this a long time ago, but back then I imagined this creature as a very lonesome, yet harmless dorky vegetarian. It might be smelly like you asked, and the "featherlike" things on it's back is part of it's body. Could be some sort of camouflage since it's very unable to run fast or protect itself in dangerous situations.

intaresting. and i was asking if it could smell as i didnt see a nose. im gessing from the sizee and shape of the tale it stors fat in there for leen times. with the size of its insisors id think it iate tuff plants or would naw through wood like a bever

Well, so far I haven't regret getting a cintiq :
I didn't use it for work either at first, but when I actually got work and I had to draw and sketch really fast, the cintiq was very helpful.
You won't have to do time consuming things like scanning or drawing directly on a wacom(slower), so you'll be able to cut many corners that way and speed up your workflow.
I don't use the cintiq that much when I paint though, since it's hard to calibrate the colours and contrast precisely. So it's a lot of jumping inbetween for me.
But yeah, I would definitely recommend one, if you can afforn one

i told my parents i should look for a used one, and they are like, "no, u need a new one." so they said they would pay for most of it and i would pay for some of it as well...it looks like it would help a lot, like for landscape and other stuff. did u notice and problems with yours? ive looked at some videos and they say there are problems with the calibration and stuffs. o.o
