Description
A weird creature concept that first started out as a random doodle on some piece of paper.Made it for a friend so that she can practice some character modeling.
I had a lot of fun painting this one!
Painted in Photoshop and Painter with both a wacom Intous2 and a wacom cintiq12wx. Didn't use any photo references for this painting.

Hehe thanks. Heard it before, that he's a lot like Bobby Chiu's creatures. Must've been something subconcious when I drew it, since I'm a HUGE fan of him. Hope noone gets it wrong though, I don't mean to imitate, still working on finding my own style

and no no its a beautiful style and if anyone did take any means of imitation to it, Bobby would only be flattered.
And yea finding your own style can be difficult, expecially with so many different styles to be inspired from.

I would love to see a series were he goes to the dentist, in a game as a baseball player, a pimp in purple fur on a dark street corner with a GOLD tooth, and an Irish cop from the 20's swinging his billy club around one finger... hahahahahahahaha.. I amuse myself so.

Really nice design and is rendered very well in the medium. Fits nicely into the surroundings as well. It looks like the real fun part for you now is naming your new creation.

Yeah I'm a huge fan of their stuff, but it wasn't my intention to make it look like their stuff. Sadly, I get influenced by other artists very easily and I'm still working hard towards finding my own style
