Roy Harper - Begay (age 39 - unmasked) - Green Arrow (modern - armed)-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Emerald Archer, Roy was raised from a grand part of his early life by his godfather Raymond Brave Bow as part of a Sioux Navajo tribe in Arizona, US. A relatively normal child, Roy had a knack for amongst the many traditions Ray taught him,archery and proficiency in many survivalist skills, becoming proficient on them from a young age.
A simple kid, Roy alongside Ray were contacted during his teenage years by a then-rising in relevance historian and college professor, Oliver Queen as a means to interview Brave Bow on the life and daily traditions the Sioux had and what life was for one in the mid 90s. In their time together, after the tribe began suffering from vandalism and hate messages left during the night, Roy decided to scout out during the night in order to scare off whoever was doing this, only to find he wasn’t the only one doing so, discovering that the Green Arrow was already on the scene.
Lending him a hand on taking these vandals out of the reservation, Roy recognized Oliver under the mask, becoming alongside his father later on, one of the Longbow Hunter’s first confidants, after Oliver left, the Begay's kept in contact with Queen, eventually organizing for Roy to move to Star City in order to attend Hale University for a Bachelor in Social Work.
During his time on the city, Roy began helping the then-middle aged Queen as a intelligence gatherer and technician from one of his many hideouts-turned-apartment, however, Roy’s efficiency began to decrease more and more, Oliver eventually discovering after his sudden disappearance that Roy had actually fallen into a deep addiction for narcotics and heroine, finding him in the floor of his bedroom overdosed.
In his lowest point and recovering in a clinic, Roy’s recuperation was helped by practicing archery again, now alongside Oliver, with the latter growing older and slower as time passed, Queen believed that one way to help Roy to find solace and to fully reconcile with himself was for him to find a purpose in his life, thus deciding to train Roy to become his successor.
Despite his initial opposition due to his own shame, Roy eventually grew into the idea and to the role, becoming officially the second Green Arrow during the Fall of 2006, working for the community by day, and by night protecting the disenfranchised and innocent. In 2020, with 14 years under his belt, Roy continues his work, now as a single father to a 10 year old girl, Lian.

Trivia and Tidbits:
- Despite being adopted into the culture, Roy is incredibly proud of being considered a Navajo, having in his adult life help create alongside Oliver a small museum in the center of Star City dedicated to Native American's culture and story.
- Roy currently operates as well as a counselor for recovering addict-youths.
- Roy was one of the 1st heroes considered and eventually included as part of the Justice League.
- Before becoming the second Green Arrow, Roy continiously tried to convince Oliver to let him be his sidekick as a teen, even to the point of having thought of his own cool codename: "Arsenal"
- On a funny note, now Roy has to go through the same thing with his daughter Lian.
- Aside from the hat and bow, Roy inherited and has spent as much time as being a superhero on perfecting it, Oliver's secret recipe for Chilli.
- When asked by his daughter what kind of superhero he is, Roy's answer is: "better Batman"
- Roy takes an obligatory family trip back to Arizona to visit Ray's tomb as well as his extended family every winter.
