Description Project ARK (original form) - The Vision (modern - heroic - intangible)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Mechanical Golem, created originally as Ultron’s perfect vision for his new world, The Vision is the automaton member of the Avengers.

Originally conceptualized by Hank Pym prior to his time in the Avengers as a supercomputer used to detect and localize unidentified life forms during his time as part of SHIELD’s ZECT program, The Vision Program was thrown into a drawer not long after the Pym’s began to develop the first iterations of the Ant-Man and Wasp abilities and suits.
Still fascinated with the idea of creating technology as computer data and operating systems, Pym began in secret to create what would ultimately become one of the Avenger’s greatest adversaries, Ultron.

A machine that would later show due to his brain patterns to have in abundance some of Hank’s worst traits accentuated to the enth degree, as his continued feud with the team grew, by having some of Pym’s own memories, Ultron stole what was left of the Vision Program in order to replicate them in mass.
Passing through many failed attempts that lacked the finesse and thinking capacity he desired, Ultron realized that what he was missing was the thing that became essential on his own birth, the brain patterns of an actual human being. After one of his attacks against the Avengers, Ultron took hostage one of their members, Wonder Man.

By using Simon Williams patterns in order to power Visions processors, and later granting him a body stolen from SHIELD’s depository, Ultron created what he’d call “his son”. The first of what Ultron wished to be many, the Vision inherited the abilities that his new body granted, amongst them his greatest being the capacity to manipulate his density, be it to be stronger, take flight and even become intangible, as well to project energy beams out of select parts of his body through different solar panels, the strongest being the one incrusted in his forehead.

A formidable foe to the team, Vision began to find doubts on his creator after showing human-like traits and thoughts, even more after actively looking onto the Avengers’ activities during the incidents caused by him and Ultron.
Eventually, as Ultron tried to use the entire team in order to create more synthezoids that would follow his lead, Vision turned on him, releasing the team deliberately and helping destroy his then-current body.

Moved by the actions and motivation of the Avengers, specially that of their leader Steve Rogers, Vision went onto becoming a main-stay fixture of their group, even starting a relationship and eventually, contracting marriage with Wanda Maximoff aka the Scarlet Witch, as he began to show more of his growing humanity

Trivia and Tidbits:
  • The original ARK was created out of technology built in the early days of SHIELD by Professor Phineas Horton, meant to follow on the design of his original Human Torch, though this time, based on a story told to him years earlier by his creation of a being known as Aarkus.
  • After betraying Ultron and destroying his original body, Vision and the Avengers took the remaining metal husks and data Ultron amassed, later reusing them on 2020 as a repurposed Project ARK after efforts for rebuilding Japan began.
  • As more and more artificial and mechanical sentient beings began to appear, Vision acted as a consultant and eventually help pass a new law that allowed androids and others of the like to have citzenship in select countries, becoming the first Mechanical Citzen of the U.S.
  • In his documents, Vision's name appears as Victor R. Jessop.
  • Years before, Wanda and Vision intended on having children through a donor. However, unfortunately for the both of them, the twins died at birth.
  • Vis loves wearing sweaters and polos, to the mock of his teammates that he looks like he's going to go and play golf.
  • Aside from the ARK original body, Vision's metallic exterior contains a lot of design aesthetics and even parts of some of Tony Stark's old Model 3 and 4 Iron Man Armors.
