every time I open my laptop or sketchbook my cats sits on it. sometimes my grey one, noodles, will take my pencil out of my hand.

Oh well, my one uses to sit on every paper she sees... Of course, the more important the note / picture / book she finds, the more comfortable it is! And she's untouchable then - you just CAN'T move her in any way, she's so loveable, especially when she starts to purr...
