Hard to be relaxed this season when the trees explode pollen onto every surface.

This was supposed to be a quick piece as I feel have not done a simple, less painterly piece in so long. Of course when it came to the background that kinda was a change of plans. Trees are hard. It put me in a weird spot of having both clean inking subject and a painterly background where they sorta didn't match, indicated especially by how mismatched the lighting is I feel. I guess that's how these pieces usually go, start off productive and efficient before it all grinds to sputter as I struggle with fixing a lot of the issues that reveal themselves. I think I found some solution, hopefully it brought the entire piece back together.
