Description
*Photo Updated Sept 14th, 2007Thanks to some helpful critiquing here on DA I have worked back into this piece and made a few changes.
Well folks, here it is! After about a month and a half of procrastination mixed with homework, I have finally finished Sybilla.
She is one of the main characters in the movie Kingdom of Heaven.
It has been created, primarily, in graphite, but I have also integrated some airbrushed acrylics.
This drawing is a whole lot darker than I have ever worked before so it has been a bit of an experiment. About half way through I discovered many distorted features and re-worked almost her entire face.I believe it is close now, but I may do some minor touch ups, as I find problems. I was unable to find a good technique for the chainmail, but I did the best I could for now.
Over all I am pleased with the outcome.
Here is the [link] to the comparison of the reference pic and the drawing. If you are curious.
Materials:
- STEADTLER Mars Lumograph (wood): , B,2B,4B,6B,7B,8B,Omnichrom(Noire)
- Strathmore: 18"X12" 100lb (260g/m2) smooth bristol
- Golden's Airbrush Acrylics
Thanks for the visit.
Enjoy!!

Has anyone experience air brush illustration on glass, using traditional stained glass paints such as Rausche?

You are right the outlines do see a little off, perhaps I will go in and fix it at some point. This piece is pretty old now, but it seems to be a crowd favourite so it might be worth it for me to go in and make a few changes that have been bothering me.
Thank you for commenting!

Wow an incredible drawing. The skin, the eyes, te chain....beautiful done.
The only thing that bothers me a little bit is the sharp line under the upper lip and also some sharp lines on the headscarf. My old artteacher always sead, "lines have to disapear"... But those are just little things...realy a magnifcent piece of art.

Thank you! You are most certainly correct those lines are a bit strong, this was created quite a while ago, I have also made some changes to the original since this was posted... I should update it on here. Think I will do that today.
