So... Yeah. This is the third remake of it... The first was a certain size that needed to be bigger. The second was the right size on one dimension but wrong on the other, and finally, I made this which was perfect.

It's gonna be the background to actual posters for the school Halloween party! 24 X 36 posters (and yes, I did make the original that size and was 300 pixels per inch!) So that was, like, a whole lot of pixels in one piece... Plus, it's all from scratch!!! (With one exception, the patterns used in the curtains were Photoshop patterns) But it still counts, right?

The wood paneling was made by me. I'll have to make a tutorial on how to make realistic wood soon (it's actually quite simple to learn once you get the steps down.) The curtains are actually gradients! Yes, I made gradients and warped them and cropped certain sections and then added a bevel for the 3-D effect. The lights are actually a filter from Photoshop. The imperfections in the wood are brushes with styles filters. The grungy type is inner and outer glow with color overlay and the gouges in the wood are bevels reversed and texturized after the same grungy brush was used and erased by an irregular shaped one and the pieces scattered a bit. Overall, it was easy to conceptualize and I'm glad that the first two weren't used (this one is oh so much better! In the future, once I get the ability to make prints, I might release the monsterously sized version (it took seven minutes to save alone and three to print a small black and white copy...) You can really see the detail in the big one. There are little things in it that even I haven't seen up close as I almost crashed Photoshop just zooming in.
