Commish for Lanovran on FAThis was vaguely experimental in that I used stock photos for the base of most of this, and then went ahead and spent the usual hours and hours of rendering over the top of them to get it the way I wanted.
I didn't know I was going to be doing it this way when I was gathering my references, so I don't have the links on hand to give credit to right now, but I'll make sure and post them as soon as I find them all again. :}

Do you have any sort of tutorial that could teach someone who to use Photoshop to come up with an art piece as good as these?

I kept staring at this picture, trying to figure out exactly what feeling it was giving me... and to be honest, I think it's closest to uneasiness than anything else. Not in a bad way, but it just looks so REAL, like you are right there and could reach out to run your hand through the leopard's fur. It's tense, and icy, and beautiful... but you feel like at any moment, the leopard could turn it's head and look at you.
Which obviously, if you were standing so close to such a wild creature in real life... would be a very good reason indeed for uneasiness
