I think you should incorporate the words from the original painting. The words gave the image such depth.

so i'm almost to a point where (other than minor changes as you see fit) all 3 characters are DONE.. i've done all the furring, last night i did the shading, and tonight imma try and do the lighting.. just so i have something cool to show you as a wip instead of something half-assed
