Description Me: I'd build a giant robot!!

Seriously, I have a bad habit of making custom models for no apparent reason....
This thing turned out quite awesome though.
Now to think of another mech to pit against it...
I'm thinking of Nineball from Armored Core....
Sanae vs. Cirno anyone?

THIS IS PROBABLY THE BEST HISOUTENSOKU RENDER I HAVE SEEN

At least, one which looks full serious mecha mode, as compared to some of the ones that look a bit more like the one in the Soundholic vid. That version is good, and a reference to old schoold mecha...but I just really really love designs with more sharp angles and lines and interlocking pieces, like this.

That chestplate is BRILLIANT, and the arms look tough without being excessively bulky.

Man, if this is what you make when you're BORED, then sorry man, but I really hope you continue to be bored for a very, very long time.

THE WORLD COULD ALWAYS USE MORE SUPER ROBOTS

Yes! MORE SUPER ROBOTS!!

I made this model EXACTLY because of that reason. Almost all Hisoutensoku models for MMD stick to Soundholic's style. Not that I despise that but a fresh look couldn't hurt, right?

I plan to upgrade this model a bit more though. Adding some more details and perhaps constructing a cockpit and a whole hangar plus the launch mechanism (I'm thinking of using Evangelion's vertical catapult) but we'll see...

Also, any suggestions on what mass-produced model that can be used for the main antagonist army on my future video? Although I'm a fan of mecha anime, I'm not actually very knowledgeable on the subject...

As far as mass-produced goes...I'd say just use Armored Core's Pulverizers, if you can manage it.

And yes, I fully agree, MAKE THE HISOUTENSOKU A TRUE SUPER MECHA

Vertical launch isn't bad, but I'm partial to the runway catapult myself.

The ones used by Gundams? Let me think about it then...
Truth is, I already decided the mass produced one will be Gespenst, while the "boss" will be Soulgain
But I think I'll put this one aside for now. I'm itching to work on that Armored G. video
So the music will be an edited version of 9 Novem (I think I'll skip the intro as well as the "D-D-Destroy Nineball" part)
The duration will be around 2 minutes
The mechas that will be appearing are Nineball Seraph and Alt Eisen Riese
Shin Neo Granzon, Phantasma, Fox Eye (Jack-O), and the Bipedal Pulverizer will be also featured.
And for the mook mechas, well I guess I'll have to use the Gespenst again, along those irritating suicide weapons.
Not enough AC? Just tell me which ones to feature as well!
(I actually want to feature Brutal Wolf from Front Mission 5 since it's a wanzer that actually stands a chance to hold it's ground against AC, but I'm pretty sure you won't even touch FM in Armored G.)

I guess Yuuka goes with Jack-O? Judging by the comments anyway....
And does Sanae in cardboard cosplay count as a mecha? I'll put her in anyway
Also, 9 will make a cameo at the end

That's my rough working plan for now, do tell me if something is out of place, since my knowledge in AC and SRW is on layman's level at best.

...wow, you've really put a lot of thought into this.

Whoa, you have models for those mecha?! Holy crap, I had no idea people had made those for MMD yet! But yes I am totally okay with that!

I have Front Mission Evolved, myself, but I would like to look into it more. So who knows, maybe I will wake up a wanzer or two as it goes along! XD

Other ACs that would be good...there are a few, but adding more might make it a bit too complicated.

For the record though, if you do have space...I guess IBIS, the Chief and Vendetta (both of which are from Armored Core V), and maybe Genobee. Possibly White Glint and the Black Glint as well. Don't forget there were the like, special Phantasmas too, the orange ones. They were like mass produced versions, I guess, but there were only ever two of thems seen, so maybe they were like elite units or something...Which is perfect for me, because Phantasma will be taking up residence with the Moon sisters, and I think they'd be great with their own special Phantasma copies. (Red Phantasma is still the most powerful though, because Stinger's evil like that 8'D)

And yup, you guessed it, HERE COMES JACK-O

Though I don't remember mentioning it in other comments...maybe it's just been a while.

COSPLAY SANAE IS GREAT

Though for extra hilarity,, you should have her in the cosply WHILE piloting Hisoutensoku. BECAUSE WE HEARD YOU LIKE MECHA THAT DRIVE MECHA WHILE YOU FIGHT MECHA, AMIRITE?

Also, if you need a good reference source to polish up the Nineball Seraph model, here, maybe this will help: www.amiami.com/top/detail/revi…

It's ths shop page for his model kit, and has fantastic pictures. I know I've seen fully rendered models as well, for animations like the 'Request of F' and so on, but they're impossible to find.

Other than that, you're going great so far! It's an honor to see something I made inspiring something so amazing, especially when it's something I totally could never do. 8'D

YOU ARE A TRUE RAVEN, MY FRIEND. GODSPEED! quq7

Thanks for the reference, really helped a lot!!
So Hisoutensoku as well? Gotcha. Really liked the idea of Sanae using cardboard cosplay as an equivalent of a plug-suit.

The other ACs... You're right, adding the whole crew of Raven's Nest will overcrowd the 2 minute video, So I'll probably pick IBIS, since she's not all that different from Nineball and that'll save me a lot of time instead of making one from scratch, again....

But the wiki didn't provide a detailed picture of IBIS' AC so perhaps throw me another reference?
And just to clarify, IBIS will be at Gensokyo's side right? Since it's not funny if Nineball, Fox Eye, Ibis, and Beowulf charging together in the video and yet later when she actually appeared in the story she turns out to be an antagonist.

There are probably models of said mechas out there but I really can't afford to search high and low for them, time and resource-wise. Therefore I'm making most of them myself. Which still waste quite a lot of time but at least not the resources. Probably won't be VERY pretty and detailed, but should be good enough.

I'm currently making the Alt Eisen, only his legs and weapons are yet to be finished. Probably will be done tomorrow. I'll submit a picture of him and Yuugi when I'm done. After that it'll be the Granzon, Pulverizer, and Phantasma's turn. lastly will be IBIS and Fox Eye since both of them can use "recycled parts" from the other mechs. And after that will be Lana, Shu, and Beowulf.

And after that I'll actually start animating
So it'll still be a while before the video is done.

On the subject of Front Mission, it's more of a personal opinion but I don't really like Evolved so much. The MULS-P2 wanzers looks a lot more like AC instead of the traditional MULS-P  wanzers (Hell, I can even recreate Cornelius's wanzer on AC Formula Front, functions pretty damn well too, on manual. Makes you feel like a badass using the hover extension and the infinite energy cheat. Don't judge, it's just for fun).
Not to mention a well-trained "Raven" can breeze through the game blindfolded. The story in Evolved is VERY weak, unlike the previous installments. The EDGE system is quite a cheap skill. The final boss is pitiful. And most importantly, it lost the strategic feel to it. I can go on and on about this since I'm quite a veteran in FM series (I've played and beaten all from 1-5+ Evolved) and I can say that Evolved is a HUGE let down.

Hmm...I can only pray for Gensokyo's safety if the Einst and Lunarian team up and invade Gensokyo in waves after waves of Phantasmas and Pulverizers. Although it's pretty obvious Gensokyo eventually won since, you know, 9 and the 16-years old Yukari is canon, right?

Well, I dunno about reference, but this may help:

imgur.com/a/izImk

This is probably the best, most detailed set of pictures I've ever found for her, so yeah, this should work!

As for her role...well, the idea is that she was always overshadowed by her older brother, the legendary Nineball Seraph. So I was thinking to play into that need for her to prove herself, to defeat him, and have her start out as a reluctant antagonist, working with Phantasma and the Lunarians, before switching sides after she and Nineball reconcile. so she's a good guy who starts as a badguy, sort of.

And don't worry, as my enthusiastic comment should show, you did in fact get the right Alt Eisen for reference XD

Still, so far you sound like you've got things under control, good idea with reusing the parts too! One thing to add though, Foxeye will have two modes as well, as he'll be teaming up with Yuuka AND Nitori. Yuuka because of the synchronization between the almighty KARASAWA and her Sparks, and Nitori because the other thing Foxeye is known for is the extremely powerful grenade and missile launchers. And Nitori IS the Super Youkai Warhead, so...FOXEYE A is built around lasers and Karasawa madness, and B is built around ALL OF THE MISSILES, WE'RE GOING FULL MACROSS HERE kinda deal

I haven't played other Front Missions, but yeah, I'd have to agree overall, Evolved is cake with a fully upgraded sniper and good kiting technique XD

...

>Lunarian Pulverizers and Phantasma
>Internecine Pulverizers
>Einst
>all allied to attack Gensokyo

...y-yeah, that...that would totally never happen

nope

definitely not

nooooooope

...

*wordlessly jams on tinfoil hat*

I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT SHHHHHHH

NoviceOfAll In reply to TheDarkbreaker [2016-07-20 19:24:21 +0000 UTC]

So IBIS is a "Good Girl" afterall!!

I only encountered Fox Eye in ACLR, pretty much the easiest final boss right?
I mean, compared to Evangel's linear+grenade guns, a fleet of pulverizers,
AND THAT B*#@% NAMED ZINAIDA.
A half Fox Eye is a cakewalk.
So I guess after getting beaten up in the last mission, Fox Eye's remains along with Jack-O got gapped as well? Yukari's been busy...

So...
Fox Eye A: Increase the output of the KARASAWA to the max, giving it an optional firing mode of sustained laser with the intensity of a spark. However also lower his mobility greatly when as long as this mode is used (because it's Yuuka)
Given Yuuka's sadistic nature, each part apart from the main body blown off by any of Fox Eye's attack will recover both his AP and EN, and increase his overall attack power.
At the cost of two bombs, overload the entire rifle, and blast away with the power of the Gundam SEED's GENESIS
(okay, maybe that's too far...but again, it's Yuuka)

Fox Eye B: Using Nitori's mechanical prowess, increase the capacity of all launcher type weapon equipped and upgrade the FCS for larger lock-box and significantly faster lock-on. Modified the grenade with heavier fire power and faster reload mechanism equal to a rifle. Back missiles are replaced with a hybrid type combining the internal computer of the Hi-Act missile, the multiple launch mechanism of Micro missiles, and the payload of the Large Missiles.
Able to utilize the Overed-weapon Nitori Super Eco. Friendly Mega Missile at the cost of two bombs. Recovery period after firing is completely nulled.

Yeah..that's my idea...both are overkill in their own rights....

My build on FME when there's no mandatory parts (Seriously? I'll buy that you need the missile FCS from the wanzer to guide the carrier's missiles. but a mandatory quad and hover leg mission? Seriously?!) is:
- Zephyr's body and leg
- Desmantz's arm
- Power backpack
- Two heavy assault rifle
- Two shoulder gattling guns
- and finally, switch all weapon keys to the left mouse button and watch your wanzer massacres any and all enemies, including bosses.

And it turns out AI can have siblings...who knew?
Also, does Reimu also get a mech? If so then please let it not be the Comiket Big Zam

*taking notes of that FM loadout*

I AM TOTALLY NOT GOING TO ABUSE THIS I PROMISE 8'D

Also those look like pretty solid specs for Jack-O's modes, yeah XD

I may use something a bit different, but there is one thing to consider...Karasawa's been nerfed as the games went on, right? Wouldn't it be unfortunate if, say, there happened to be a super ancient AI from the original generation that happened to know the specs of that era's weaponry, including the original, legendary Karasawa?

I mean, someone might be able to build one now huh 8'D

Basically my dream is to basically someday have Jack-O go full tank mode, and for one brief, glorious moment as his greatest special attack, go fully overweight, and unleash dual Karasawa Sparks, maximum missiles, grenade cannons, accompanied by Yuuka's Twin Spark and Nitori's missile storm.

I mean it'd be perfect for a defense objective, since he'd just have to stay in place and keep shooting. His normal loadout will probably stay the same though, because that much firepower would honestly just be cumbersome.

Beyond that, I have to say:

NOBODY TALKS ABOUT THAT CHEATING PIECE OF CRAP ZINAIDA

LIKE UNHOLY HELL

SHE IS ACTUALLY OUTRIGHT CHEATING

THEY SLAPPED LITERALLY EVERY BOOST THEY COULD ON HER

PLUS OP-I

AND PROBABLY INFINITE AMMO AND ENERGY

SHE IS THE MOST FRUSTRATING CREATURE SINCE NBS HIMSELF

GOD DAMN

SUPER PULVERIZER IS EASIER THAN HER
