EDIT: 3/2/07I've lightened it up a good deal and made some edits I felt nessisary. Do comment on the new changes if you want.
I know its huge, but fullview please.
Okay first off, this was a picture that I entirely painted over. Yes generally it would go in the photomanipulation catagory but there is no fanart section there and essentially this is airbrush in a way. Also, this was a huge amount of work and I only used the photo for lighting and structure, I repainted everything else. I am not claiming I did this from scratch so dont think that I am. Here is the original photo: [link] you can tell I changed a lot and what I did entirely from scratch. I love Blue from wolfs rain and I hope my rendition does her justice. I'm not hugely happy with the mouth, overall I love it.

The mouth does look a little funky, but it makes for something interesting to look at. The fact that you used a good sized palette of colors for her face is also interesting to look at. The pink for shading on her face is a good touch. I really liked how you did the scarf it look just as real, if not more real than the jacket.
Hm, there seems to be something unfinished in the right cheek. You might want to fix that.

hi! You have alot of soft edges, which is good in some places but in other areas just makes the whole picture look blurry and smudgy
also top lip looks a little wonky

You did a nice work with the air brush =] You choose nice colors too.
One thing that could be better in this one is the detailing/texturing on the hair and clothes (that's the bad thing realism... you've got to realistic on all the picture, since you made the face so real ^^)

Thank you so much for the critique! The clothes were hard because I need more practice with clothing lighting/shading and the clothes were from scratch. I wasn't sure if they'd even turn out this good, but eventually I'm sure I'll get better and I'll come back to this piece and fix it. I'm much better at face shading than hair and clothes so it tends to come out much better than the rest. The hair is better than I've ever done, I can see where it needs touch ups. Thank you again!
