If to talk about anthro, I can advice you to learn, how human(and animal) bones and muscles work. You don't have to know them all, but base you should. When I draw anthro, I always start from the backbone (just s-like line), then I add ribcage and hipbone (I simplify them of course), hands and legs. Then some muscle groups. If I have wrong proportions - I fix them on this sketch step. When I'm glad enough, I start lining, coloring, etc.
Honestly, my anthro anatomy not very good and I still need a lot of practice, but hope it helped you.
