*Reader's POV*

Pssssssssssss..............

The faint hiss of air escaping a pipe brought me back to consciousness. My head was pounding, all i could feel was pain. Stinging, burning pain. A soft moan escaped my lips and moving slowly, as to not bring an even stronger rush of pain to myself, i sat up.

It was dark. That's the first thing i registered when i opened my eyes. It was very, very dark. The only light i could see was a faint red light blinking through the broken protection glass.

*Writer's POV*

"Broken protection glass...?" (Y/n) thought, eyes widening. That's when the memory of what had happened earlier filled her still pounding head. "Oh shit. How long have i been out?" She moved to stand, only to come back down with a groan of pain. "Bad idea..." She mumbled, holding her head in her hands. She attempted to stand again, this time moving slower, and finally managed to erect herself, though she had to use the wall for support to just stay in the upright position.

(Y/n)'s eyes turned to the clock mounted on the wall.

She gasped. "Nine hours!? I've been out for nine hours!?" She gasped.

Then she remembered something else.

Turning slowly, she turned her (E/c) orbs to the ground. It took everything in her not to loose everything that had entered her stomach in the last 48-hours.

Laying on the ground, limp, bleeding, and definitely dead, was (Y/n)'s father.

"Oh God..." She whispered. "Oh God please no..." She dropped to her knees, not caring if her cloths got blood on them as she crawled over to her father's lifeless corpse. "Daddy? Daddy please..." She knew the pleading was useless. He was dead, that was a fact, and there was no way of undoing what that... thing, had done to him.

"That thing. Mark. What happened to him? The fact that no one took me to the hospital or picked up his body means no one's been in here... No one's called for help... Is anyone else alive?" She thought with horror. She stood back up, the pounding in her head had diminished as new-found fear entered her. Her hand went to her coat pocket, and a breath of relief was emitted from her lips as her fingers closed around her flashlight. "Thank God." She muttered, clicking the light on. She grabbed an extra set of batteries from the desk and gave one last look to her father. "Rest In Peace Papi." She mumbled, before walking over to the door and pushing it open.

She looked back one last time.

And wished she hadn't.

Standing on the other side of the room was Mark Slender. His blank white face, long arms, tall thin form covered by a suit, and those long, writhing tentacles that were protruding from his back were all right there, just a ways behind her, watching her, yet not watching her. He didn't have any eyes after all.

Then the sound of static filled her ears. (Y/n) shrieked and spun, bolting out the door.

"LEAVE ME ALONE!"
