So I decided I wanted to make a communist flag, cause like...who doesn't like a party?
So the symbols I choose were deliberate as they're all representative of a new-age Communist party. For this party, the Cogwheel represents the wheels of progress and moving forward. The Hammer and Sickle are representative of the industrial working class and agricultural workers as well as the unity of the two groups. The torch in the middle is a symbol of the new faith of man. Instead of the belief that religion is the opiate of the masses, this new Communist party preaches a new state religion centered around three core concepts:
-The formation of the universal brotherhood of humanity without distinction of race, creed, sex, caste, or color.
-Encouraging of the study of comparative religion, philosophy, and science.
-Investigating the unexplained laws of nature and the powers latent in man.

so, the torch indeed thats mean philanthropy or masonry (semi-religious philanthropic organization)?

I was actually going on the assumption that the torch is a symbol of enlightenment. I was using it in much the same way that many colleges and universities incorporate torches for the same reason. The "new age" religion I was referring to in the description is (as I envision it) similar to the attempted new age religion that briefly emerged in France during the French revolution.

Cool in a sort of national-bolchevik way. My only critique is that the hammer is not separated from the torch - otherwise it is a good concept.

I realy like the Cogwheel, it symbols the technical developmet of humanity in a really god way. I also tryed to build a cogwheel im my symbol of the united communism world order, but i failed...
And of course the strongest Symbol; the Hammer and Sickle. I always liked this symbol...

Thank you very much, I was particularly pleased at how the torch fit in with the hammer and sickle. I was a bit afraid is was going to obscure those symbols with the addition of the torch but overall I think it turned out well.
