UPDATE JULY 22, 2013So, I have update this tutorial. It's the most popular thing on my account, so it deserves a good proofread and revision. I've added an outlining section and changed quite a few details. I believe it's longer now, but hopefully it's even more useful than before. It was important for this tutorial (Is it really even a tutorial?) to reflect my professionalism in writing now that I'm published and out there. I do hope that everyone gets a chance to read the newer draft and find it useful. For those of you are just finding this, I hope it helps you, too.

So, I am on my comic exploration kick right now. I was browsing through this great forum that has a lot of artists who work for TP in it and one section spoke of tutorials and such. Someone mentioned that there was no tutorial on writing/scripting for comics and I thought, "ALAS! I wrote a tutorial on just that subject!" I've kept it realatively hidden away for a rainy day, thinking no one would be interested. Download it by clicking the download button on the side. It's a pdf, so you shouldn't have too much trouble with the file. Let me know if you do, though.
So yeah. Just had it lying around. If you find it useful, please tell me. If you think I missed something, tell me that too. ^^

Thank you so much. These methods are already helping me a ton. I'm in the brainstorming character development process. For me these two aspects tend to be intertwined because I enjoy stories to be more character driven. Very inspirational. I finally feel like I can get somewhere.

Wow this was a very nice tutorial. I agree with others who have commented that it could have used some pictures but all in all I liked it. It gave me very helpful information for starting the scripting for a manga I'm wanting to attempt to make.

Within minuites of reading I was already able to think of things to help develop and improve my existing characters in area's which I hadn't thought of (and it seems that's where it was needed as they seem all together more whole now).

I especially love all the emphasis you put on developing characters. I've been working on my story for a very long time, and thought I knew my characters inside and out, but after reading this I starting thinking of things like, "hmmm, what would Bale like to eat?" Stuff I've never really thought about before, haha.
