UPDATE JULY 22, 2013So, I have update this tutorial. It's the most popular thing on my account, so it deserves a good proofread and revision. I've added an outlining section and changed quite a few details. I believe it's longer now, but hopefully it's even more useful than before. It was important for this tutorial (Is it really even a tutorial?) to reflect my professionalism in writing now that I'm published and out there. I do hope that everyone gets a chance to read the newer draft and find it useful. For those of you are just finding this, I hope it helps you, too.

So, I am on my comic exploration kick right now. I was browsing through this great forum that has a lot of artists who work for TP in it and one section spoke of tutorials and such. Someone mentioned that there was no tutorial on writing/scripting for comics and I thought, "ALAS! I wrote a tutorial on just that subject!" I've kept it realatively hidden away for a rainy day, thinking no one would be interested. Download it by clicking the download button on the side. It's a pdf, so you shouldn't have too much trouble with the file. Let me know if you do, though.
So yeah. Just had it lying around. If you find it useful, please tell me. If you think I missed something, tell me that too. ^^

so iv just been looking int how others go about creating their stories and character and putting them all together in a comic manga thinger...

After a devastating battle with a fearsome and powerful demon called Shinimaru, an entire tribe of dog demons are killed to protect their only hope: Takomaru, who is only 6 years old and the only dog demon left. Unknown to him, he has the power to defeat the demon and avenge his tribe. Fleeing from the death of his family, he hides in a shrine that was once built by humans in a nearby village. He falls into a deep sleep, clutching a magic jewel passed down to him from his mother as a death wish. The jewel protects him and keeps him alive for 50 years into the future. In the future, a young girl named Kagami Saito is walking home from school. Spotting a flash of bright light, she decides to investigate. Stopping at what appeared to be an old shrine, she is scared at first to go inside. Mustering up her courage, she enters the shrine, disgusted at how filthy the place is. Hearing strange sounds, her adventurous side gives in and she follows the noises. Upon finding the dog demon, she learns his name is Takomaru, and he tells her the story about his past. In order for Takomaru to face his destiny and avenge his murdered tribe, he has to defeat the monstrous demon. But there's one small problem: he can't get back home to his own time!
