Description

It was snowing last night and I was in the mood to get a proper reference out for one of my oldest gemsonas. I should also mention this design is based on TK Pinkerton’ s obsidian design which, for the record, I asked permission first before making this fan design). Anyhow, this is Snowflake Obsidian (or simply Snowflake) is an off colored Gem. Unlike other obsidians, they can’t grow teeth on their physical form or have heat resistance. Instead, they have control over ice, thermal manipulation (can make the temperature colder), and storm generation. They usually use their abilities through ice dancing.
Snowflake fits their namesake. They’re self-entitled and think they’re something special (using their status as a defective Gem to prove it). They try to build up a cold exterior and quick to insult, but their bark is worse than their bite. Snowflake is childish and a big day dreamer, often creating goals that are usually out of their reach. They are also not very bright and gets duped easily. Snowflake worked on a Gem base for off colored Gems when, believing they deserved better, defected from Homeworld. They arrived on Earth and became immersed in figure skating and ice dancing culture. Currently they work with their partner in crime Ulexite who promised the obsidian he’ll make them famous if they help him with his schemes.
Also some other random facts:
Snowflake is pretty graceful and learned their mannerisms from pearls (because they thought they look beautiful)
They have a nictitating membrane (or third eyelid) that protects their eye from harsh winds.
They bought an expensive pair of ice skates because it had one of their favorite figure skater’s name on it (something they didn’t really need because they already can summon skates, but they just HAD to get them).
