Description
First of a small series I shot around the holidays.Continuing my fascination with glass, lights and colors.

So, this is difficult to broadcast movement so irregularly shapen objects, but it seems, that it was intention of author creation of such impression.

It is actually a glass sculpture by a rather famous artist that I saw hanging from the ceiling on a cruise ship. I took the shot from a balcony that put the piece at eye level.

Stunning colors and composition - unexpected and captivating.
The one thing I don't like is perhaps the existence of too many chromatic aberrations/digital hotspots.
But it is a very catchy work - I stopped imediately!

Hey P, I completely understand what you are saying there regarding the imperfections. The only thing I can offer is that they are completely intentional - in fact added in post-processing, the original has none of that. This was supposed to be a study in something completely over the top, an attempt at trying to give the feel of light actually coming from the printed photo, and just a tad surreal.
I love a good comment, as you know, and totally accept that it might not work for everyone. I just wanted to make it clear that the stuff you don't like wasn't accidental. (Oddly, if the photo looked like that off the bat, I would have probably deleted it!)

Those colors are positively irresistable. The orange and blue contrast wonderfully (of course they do, theyre complimentary). But I love how you captured the light shining through and little reflections on the glass. And the one that's curved down in the middle there makes it just that much more intresting. And the border is strangely attractive too.
This makes me want one of those really big lollipops

you captured the color of these quite well... i cant tell if these are chihuly's but I love this kind of work. I caught chihuly's exibit when it came here to phoenix, and i was instantly addicted to his sculpture work... wow i just noticed the border, very trippy.

I like the color here, the orange compliments the blue. I actually like the border being smaller at the top.
