Lots of things can effect whether your game data saves correctlyHere's some of the stuff they don't mention.
Do not turnoff the machine
Do not remove memory card
Do not sneeze
Do not molest the analog sticks
Do not wear a hat
Do not have sex with a goat
Do not masturbate in reverse
Do not dress like a polar bear
Do not drop GameSystem in tub
Do not breath
...not even sure right now on the rest, but i'll figure it out later...

Maybe the burger would melt before you eat it, and the kid would then cry because his burger is now a puddle on the table. The toy would be something that would scare them, and then fire tranquilizers at you, so as not to bug the staff XD. Now that would be sad.
