I think it looks like a backwards scorpion. Or maybe a Pokemon XD Think you did a really good job on the textures on this one.

Yes, looks like a Pokemon... but I think Pokemons were partly inspired by prehistoric animals...

Any animal really (there's horse ones and dog ones and rat ones just off the top of my head) Kabuto looks very much like a horseshoe crab. I once walked into a biology prac exam, saw a horseshoe crab carapace on one of the benches and said "KABUTO!" A friend who was in the class with me looked puzzled, I told him it looked exactly like a Pokemon and he smiled and shook his head in exasperation.

My daughters are all in Pokemons...but I must admit I don't know much about them. I know of Pikachu though...
