Description
commission for ~jpink1019 of the protagonist in her friend's novel. i got a strange mix of miyazaki and final fantasy feelings for the character after reading the material from the book, so i hope a little of that was able to come out in the design!also jpink, i maneuvered the figures into the positions here to save room, since dA is a bit of a butthead about resizing sometimes. if you were wondering about that, haha.

I love the whole Miyazaki feel of the costume design. Somehow the combo of feelings = perfect. Also . the lighting is pretty great. I was going to say Ashitaka as well but if he was more of a nomadic guy.
Basically I love it when you do character designs ok

thanks! i'm glad you love when i do character designs because i love doing them haha. i also continue to be super glad that i conveyed the feeling i was trying to with the character, though i guess the ultimate goal should be to convey the feeling the author was trying to get across haha..ha........ /selfish artist moment

this is why i wouldn't be good at drawing comics for other people. xD I am very much a selfish artist going "but I wanna do what iiiii waaaaaaaaant"
and soon :c this saturday I am going to AT&T and gunna see about getting a Go phone or w/e they are called. I guess my warranty for my smartphone only extended to a certain # of days so I have to find something temporary that will last me until the next upgrade. But I can still text with it and whatever.

hahahaha yeah i'm so selfish about it, especially lately. i just wanna sit and do my own project stuff and draw dumb fanart of boys kissing and whatever. this weekend when i was in chicago with no internet (the fucking hilton doesn't have free internet what the hell) was the first time in more than a week that i've done serious work on my commissions /things i probably shouldn't say in public

thank you! the novel is still in editing stages, from what i've heard. what i know of it is that it's a fantasy setting, with the protagonist wandering from city to city training to become a sort of knight mage called a "watcher of ragnarok." what little i was able to read was pretty interesting, so keep an eye out for it!
