Backgrounds from that Steven Universe fan comic 'Ga-regg' I did a few weeks ago - these were essentially based on the scenery from the Steven Universe episode 'The Zoo' and are attempts at trying to match the style without being outright copies (tree for tree, plant for plant) of the original reference images.Long story short, after having done this, I now feel confident in working with such a style. It was a good bit of practice.

Hi! I stumbled upon this drawing while looking for some people to join our team. Basically, i'm creating an animated fanmade Steven Universe series, called The Foreign Menace. We're not close to finishing the first episode, but we're not far, at the same time. (If that makes sense :3) We would love if you could help us out by drawing some backgrounds for us to use. I think it looks beautiful, but with the top layer, the sun streaks, when using it in a comic, I would overlay that with your drawn characters, so they feel like they're in the background more. It's so beautiful. I love it.

These almost look like the actual backgrounds of the show.
I gotta ask, what do you think of Steven Universe so far? I only seen a handful of episodes of it and never watched more since.

I really like Steven Universe, like any show it's not perfect and I was reluctant to watch it at first because of the style of animation, but after watching about a dozen episodes, I began enjoying it. My favourite thing is that it has a story that actually progresses. I seen many shows which have story-intense moments but they never make an impact on the series in the long run, such as one of my faves Megas XLR

There are things about Steven.Universe I did like. I kind of kiss watching a good animated TV series. The only good ones I seen are online mostly.
