I tried another form of shading, but this will /not/ be the shading for this chapter as much as I'd love to use it, it just takes too much time and I still like my other 'easier' method. :'I
Obviously based off this cover this chapter will be center focused around Walter and Willow instead of Mad and Elsa, and I'm quite excited to finally delve deeper into these two since they didn't get enough screen time in the first chapter.
The chapter is fully scripted, it'll be thumbed out eventually but I already finished the first page pff. At current it will be around 53 pages unless I add or take away something, I expected it to be a lot longer than the first introductory chapter so this is good >:V This chapter is starting earlier than when I released the comic back last November or October (can't remember, think it was October) so I'm thinking this chapter will be finished about this time of year next year give or take XD We'll see if my hand likes me once this is over cause good lord, backgrounds.
I also updated the website's design for those who like to read from there, I'm not quite feeling it yet but I'll make some tweaks when I figure out what's wrong. Crits are welcome both for the site design and this!
Once again thanks to all who've been reading so far, I know it started off kinda rocky but I'm quite confident in this chapter and I hope you enjoy!

Oh Walter bby why you look so scared nothing's going to happen. You just have the magical storytelling light of doom over you, that's all! It's not like you're going to be in any sort of danger or anything! 8D
I really like Willow in this, she's so cute ;n; I like how her body shape is more clearly defined, as well as her facial features. She's my faaave. I like Walter's pose too, with how her hands are placed and how her one hand has splayed fingers. It fits her startled/uncomfortable looking expression of "Oh shiz what". And Willow is just a nervous scaredy pants.
The shading looks pretty boss too. You use that paintery Airbrush pen tool? That one's the best. You implemented it nice on this one. I rather like the little highlights too. Light source looks fab too, especially on the shoulders. The contrast between the bright yellow and the blue washover in the BG fits nicely.
And for some reason I always like how your titles are just so massively huge at the top like IT'S ARCHIBALD BITCH.
I should try that.
Really the only thing I find irksome at all on this is the crease in Willow's dress. I thought she was grabbing onto her dress since the lines match up exactly with her hand, but I'm going to assume she's not actually grasping it cause the wrinkles don't look bunched-up like they would if she was holding it nor are the shadows under it appropriate for the hand to be directly against the fabric. So, depending on which the case is, it would just work to move the creases a smidgen over or adjust it so it does look like she's holding it. Whichever is happening.
Site looks snazzy too, I like the rose-symbol pattern.

Willow is a little scared cutiepants 8'C And yeah I used my painty type shading brush, it's easy to blend stuff with.
Pshh I always gotta have smack-in-yo-face titles so people know what they're reading n they gotta deal with it >8C
And pshh yeah I'd noticed it looked like that but didn't know if it'd be noticeable, but obviously it is >8C She wasn't supposed to be holding it, but I think it'd look cuter and usually when you have anxiety and are nervous you gotta grab onto somethin so maybe holding the dress would be more appropriate so I can probably adjust it >:U
Those rose-symbols were totally on a whim but I ended up liking them a lot too so that's why I kept them pshh 8'U

Yaaaay comic things! All the backgrounds, go! Looks good on this one by the way, with the deep blue shadows and faint brighter highlights. Goldish light makes a nice contrast. Oho girls you're in the spotlight literally now. I think the shadows on those two could be a bit stronger contrast, even if the spotlight isn't on full blast, just because it's so dark all around them.
Website looks pretty good to me, nice and simple. I don't remember the fireworks, but they're cool. Now, my screen is pretty bright, so that could be why all the white text looks like a bit much to me, but just for kicks, you might try some of that white (text and or some borders) into light blue-grey or yellow to go with the evening light theme.

Thank you! Yeah I agree I could probably darken the shadows more, I always seem to have a problem with that for some reason, I guess I get scared of adding too much but I will wean out of it eventually >:U
I'll definitely try toning down the white and see how it looks, I personally liked it because it kinda brought everything together with the border and whatnot but I'll definitely try it!

You're welcome! Haha I have the same problem with being afraid of adding shadows, and so far it turns out better to add more. xD In my own mind, every time: 'does this look like too much?' 'no add more' 'D:'
